Acceptance into the MAP initiative is separate from admission into an undergraduate degree program at Argosy. Review of this Accelerated Scholar Application will not be conducted until the prospective student has submitted all applicable college transcripts and a Transfer of Credit analysis has been finalized. Admission into MAP is not guaranteed. Students accepted as Accelerated Scholars are permitted to take graduate courses and have these count toward the elective credits in their undergraduate degree program. All other degree requirements as stated in the undergraduate catalog remain in effect.

Acceptance as an Accelerated Scholar is not a guarantee of acceptance into the associated master’s program, and only grades of “B- or better may count for graduate credit. See the program brochure and catalog for more information. The name of this initiative, Accelerated Scholar, is subject to change.

Indicate your current major and the associated roster from which you will select graduate courses: College of Counseling, Psychology and Social Sciences; College of Health Sciences; Graduate School of Business and Management. Proposed courses include:

  • IO6506 Business Principles for IO Professionals
  • IO6410 IO Theory Applied to Organizational Behavior and Culture
  • IO6301 Research Methods in IO
  • IO6400 Applied Industrial Psychology

In order to receive the designation of Accelerated Scholar on the final transcript, the student must complete 12 graduate credits with grades of B- or better. Depending on the roster and the number of electives yet to be completed, the student may take additional credits. Indicate your selection of the total set of proposed graduate courses to be used in your undergraduate program.

Course Planning: Working with your adviser, indicate the number of credits remaining to be completed in your program after the current term. Confirm that the number of courses listed in the Proposed Courses section above can be scheduled in the time needed to complete the BA or BS degree. Attach a copy of the latest transcript or DPA.

Disclosure Statement

Some undergraduate students may want to pursue a master’s degree. Argosy University offers those students enrolled in a bachelor’s program the opportunity to complete graduate-level courses to apply to and complete a master’s degree more quickly and at lower cost. With permission of the department chair and deans, such students may replace undergraduate elective courses with master’s courses in established areas. Depending on grades received, students may not need to retake or replace these courses when they apply and are accepted into the graduate program.
