A common metaphor is calling someone “a walking encyclopedia,” which suggests they are highly knowledgeable. If someone does not think critically about this metaphor, they might overestimate a person's knowledge or assume they are perfect in all areas, leading to unrealistic expectations. Cultural differences can also make the metaphor confusing or misrepresentative in other contexts or languages, causing misunderstandings. Critical thinking allows us to interpret metaphors carefully and avoid accepting superficial impressions.
