One critical need within the future of nursing is addressing health disparities through diversifying the nursing workforce. Research indicates that a diverse nursing workforce can better understand and meet the cultural and social needs of varied populations, leading to improved health outcomes (Kaak et al., 2021). My plan to participate in this need involves actively mentoring nursing students from underrepresented backgrounds, advocating for inclusive admission policies, and supporting ongoing diversity training programs. As a transformational leader, I emphasize inspiring and empowering others, fostering an environment where diversity and inclusion are prioritized. My leadership style influences my approach by motivating others to recognize the importance of cultural competence in delivering equitable care and shaping policies that promote workforce diversity and health equity.
