In this essay, I chose to compare two smartphone brands: Apple iPhone and Samsung Galaxy. I opted for the point-by-point organization because it allows me to address specific features—such as design, operating system, and price—alternately for each brand. This approach provides a clear, detailed comparison that is easy for readers to follow. I considered the block method but decided the point-by-point structure would best highlight the direct differences and similarities between the two models, enhancing reader understanding.

Compared to the narrative assignment I completed earlier, which was focused on recounting personal experience or storytelling, this comparison essay is more analytical and structured around factual points. The narrative was centered on a personal event, told in the first person, with a focus on emotional impact and chronological sequence. Conversely, the comparison emphasizes objective analysis, requiring careful selection of features and balanced presentation without personal bias. A specific challenge I faced was deciding which points to highlight and ensuring each was explored equally to maintain fairness and clarity in the comparison.
