The Discussions present an opportunity for self-evaluation and reflection on one's role within an organization. For the assigned module week, students will complete four self-assessment activities and select one for discussion. The discussion requires a thread of at least 250 words, including page references and specifics to document the response, along with correct English and grammar. Additionally, students must submit at least two replies of a minimum of 100 words each to classmates' threads, engaging with their responses and questions. The thread should include:
- A brief explanation of the selected self-assessment and results, citing the textbook.
- A discussion relating a recent scholarly business article from the Jerry Falwell Library to the self-assessment, including how the results can contribute to an organization, and pose questions for peers.
- Incorporation of at least one scripture verse or narrative supporting the discussion, applied within proper biblical context.
- Complete APA citations for all references, including the full URL for the article from the library.
Threads are due by 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday of the module week. Replies of at least 100 words to two classmates’ threads are also due by the same deadline, to be submitted together. Late replies are not accepted for grading if submitted across multiple weeks.
Research should utilize reputable sources like the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, The Economist, or scholarly articles accessible via the library, avoiding Wikipedia, blogs, commercial sites, or educational lecture sites. If articles are behind security walls, students must copy and attach the article in a Word document with proper APA references.
