Firstly, it can lead to misunderstandings or misinterpretations of the message. When messages are poorly written, with grammatical errors or improper punctuation, the recipient may find it difficult to grasp the intent or importance of the communication. This lack of clarity can result in confusion, errors in task execution, or the need for additional clarification, ultimately reducing productivity and efficiency within the organization (Kirkpatrick, 2020). Secondly, poor writing can damage the sender's professional credibility. In a business environment, communication reflects the sender's competence, attention to detail, and professionalism. Errors in grammar and punctuation can cause recipients to perceive the sender as careless or unprofessional, which can undermine trust and the sender’s reputation (Guffey & Loewy, 2018).
