Construct a Comparative Analysis of Property Crimes by: Discussing the Positive and Negative of the Approaches taken in the six articles. Delineate the Approaches You Would Have Taken in Each of the Six Situations. Referring to all the six articles that have been evaluated above, there was an analysis in each of them that focused on different ways of how to combat property crime or even the different factors that influence property crime. From inflation rates, to increase in police department funds to the use of drugs to the rates of poverty and lastly the fear within the society. As we have seen previously each of these articles all come to conclusions of how to best help the government to reduce property crime in this nation.

It is safe to say that some of the articles had methods or strategies that are not that easy for the government to pull off due to so many factors. In my opinion, the article that had the best solution to combat the property crimes was the one that discussed the increment in the funds for the police department in order to help decrease the rates of property crime. If the police department is being funded this means there will be more availability of the police officers which acts as a deterrent for property crime. However, this could be an issue because in order for the government to really pour money into the police departments this will mean they are getting the money from another field which will most likely impact them negatively.

It is really hard to determine what field they would have to extract this money from in so that they can invest in the police departments which could greatly improve on the country’s security. One negative aspect that I have observed in the articles is the lack of further detailed plans for their reasoning behind why the police department truly deserves the government support. The last article discusses the fear in the communities for the law enforcement however does not go into much detail of how this fear can be annihilated. I think one of the ways is by making every officer wear camera when they are on clock, this way they can be held accountable for their actions and the civilians know that they are also being recorded.

I think all the other articles had a good strategy and my approach would have been the same except for the fear-based article. I also think that one of the harder things is actually putting into practice all the discussed strategies due to the financial burdens that come with it. Most of the strategies discussed above need financial enhancement which needs a lot of critical thinking.
