One of the most memorable skills I learned involved improving my athletic performance through sport and exercise psychology techniques. During my tennis training, I applied mental skills such as visualization, self-talk, and focus strategies to enhance my game. My coach introduced routines that included visualizing successful plays, maintaining positive self-talk, and practicing mindfulness to stay present during matches. These activities created a structured practice environment that emphasized mental preparedness alongside physical training. I firmly believe that integrating psychology greatly improved my performance, especially under pressure. Visualization helped me anticipate game situations, reducing anxiety and boosting confidence. Positive self-talk shifted my mindset from self-doubt to self-assurance, leading to better focus and resilience.
