Implementing change within a healthcare facility is often met with various challenges and unforeseen obstacles. This week, I encountered several new events in my change project that required immediate adjustments to ensure ongoing progress. One of the primary obstacles was resistance from staff members who were accustomed to established routines and skeptical about the proposed changes. This resistance manifested as reluctance to adopt new procedures and occasional passive resistance during team meetings. Recognizing this, I revised my approach by increasing focus on staff engagement and education. I organized additional informational sessions to clarify the benefits of the change and addressed concerns directly, which gradually fostered a more receptive attitude among team members.

Another obstacle was logistical delays in sourcing necessary materials for implementing the new procedures. These delays threatened to derail the project timeline. To mitigate this issue, I coordinated with suppliers earlier in the process and identified alternative vendors to ensure the availability of materials.
