The learning outcomes for this course highlight essential competencies necessary for advancing nursing practice through research and evidence-based strategies. Reflecting on these outcomes, I recognize that my journey throughout the course has significantly enhanced my ability to critically analyze current clinical practices, formulate researchable problems, and evaluate the impact of research on improving patient outcomes. This reflection discusses how I have met these objectives, discusses areas for improvement, and outlines future plans to foster continued professional growth.

Firstly, the ability to critically analyze current practice is fundamental in identifying gaps in healthcare delivery and prioritizing areas for research. Throughout the course, I engaged with multiple case studies, literature reviews, and clinical scenarios that sharpened my analytical skills. I learned to scrutinize existing protocols, evaluate the validity and reliability of research findings, and determine their applicability to my practice environment. This process involved examining research methodologies, statistical analyses, and ethical considerations, which are vital in ensuring the research is sound and applicable.
