Locating credible and relevant sources for academic projects is often a challenging process, especially given the vast amount of information available online. For my signature assignment, which focuses on the impact of sustainable practices in urban development, I encountered several obstacles, primarily in accessing scholarly sources that provide in-depth analysis and empirical data. Many articles retrieved from popular search engines or general databases appeared overly technical or used complex jargon that made comprehension difficult without specialized background knowledge.

One of the primary sites I found helpful was Google Scholar, which offers a wide range of peer-reviewed journal articles and academic papers. Additionally, I utilized academic databases such as JSTOR and ProQuest, which filter results for scholarly credibility and content quality. These platforms helped me locate articles that delve into the environmental, social, and economic implications of sustainable urban planning practices.

For my research, I found the article titled "Urban Sustainability Transitions: Pathways to Greener Cities" published in the Journal of Urban Planning and Development. This article discusses various models for implementing sustainable practices in cities, emphasizing policy frameworks, community engagement, and technological innovations. Overall, using scholarly databases with advanced search options significantly improved my ability to find relevant, credible sources that will strengthen my project.
