This paper aims to demonstrate how I have met the designated DNP program competencies through my coursework by providing concise explanations for each competency area. The competencies cover a broad range of advanced nursing skills, including application of science-based theories, health policy development, leadership, quality improvement, epidemiological analysis, and advocacy for social justice. Each explanation references specific coursework, projects, or assignments that served as evidence of mastery, laying the groundwork for detailed reflection and outcomes in subsequent parts of the comprehensive assessment.

1.2: Apply science-based theories and concepts to determine the nature and significance of health and health care delivery phenomena.

In my coursework, I applied nursing theories such as Orem’s Self-Care Deficit Theory, integrating evidence-based research to analyze healthcare delivery challenges, particularly in patient adherence and health outcomes.
