Throughout my professional journey, I have encountered various leadership styles, most notably that of my previous manager, who exemplified a transformational leadership approach. My own leadership style is leaning towards a more participative and collaborative model, emphasizing team engagement and empowerment. Unlike my manager, who often relied on setting clear visions and motivating through inspiration, I tend to prioritize open communication, active listening, and shared decision-making. This inherent difference stems from my belief that fostering a sense of ownership among team members leads to higher motivation and better results.
My leadership strengths include strong interpersonal skills, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to team development. I excel at building trust with colleagues and encouraging a collaborative environment. For example, in a recent project, I facilitated team discussions to gather diverse perspectives, which resulted in innovative solutions and increased team cohesion. I also possess resilience in stressful situations, allowing me to maintain composure and guide my team effectively through challenges.
