As I reflect on the public speaking skills I have developed over the past weeks, I realize that further improving my active listening skills is crucial for my growth as a speaker. Active listening allows a speaker to engage more meaningfully with their audience, ensuring that their message resonates and is tailored to those present. This skill will not only enhance my speaking engagements but also foster better communication and connection with peers and the audience during presentations. Listening attentively helps in understanding diverse perspectives, which ultimately leads to more compelling and relevant speeches.

To develop my active listening skills further, I plan to take specific actions throughout the remainder of the term. Firstly, I will practice mindfulness techniques before presentations to help me focus entirely on the moment and the audience's reactions.
