In this research paper, I will discuss whether Edward Snowden is a hero or a traitor. In today’s world, data protection has become a buzzword, where terrorism is just an excuse and economic warfare is the real deal.

I also discovered how governments can surveil personal communications if they wish to. During my research, I watched a significant film related to Edward Snowden, which provided many insights, and I read various articles about him.
I argue that Snowden stood up for human rights through his whistleblowing efforts and deserves recognition as a hero.
