Paper For Above instruction

My role model at work is my best friend, who is also a registered nurse like myself. We completed nursing school together and earned our master's degrees in family nurse practitioner, and he is currently pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he is a father of twins, owner of a travel nurse agency, successful restaurateur with four restaurants, and involved in real estate investments. I work closely with him in the travel nurse agency, which gives me insight into his leadership qualities and professional behaviors that inspire me.

One of the key behaviors that I admire in my friend is his exceptional leadership ability combined with empathy and integrity. In the healthcare setting, leadership is essential for fostering a positive environment that encourages teamwork, compliance with best practices, and patient-centered care. My friend exemplifies these qualities through his ability to motivate staff, communicate clearly, and demonstrate genuine concern for both his employees and clients. For example, he ensures that nurses in his agency receive adequate support and ongoing education, which promotes high-quality patient care and staff retention.

Moreover, his manner of communication is both respectful and inspiring. He listens actively to concerns from employees or clients and responds thoughtfully. This fosters trust and cooperation within his team, which in turn enhances organizational performance. In healthcare, this approach can lead to better patient outcomes, increased team morale, and a more cohesive work environment. His balanced approach of professionalism with approachability sets a standard that I aspire to emulate, as it improves workplace culture and patient satisfaction.

The impact of his behavior extends beyond individual interactions; it positively influences organizational culture. The organization benefits because of his authentic leadership, which promotes accountability and continuous improvement. His capacity to juggle multiple successful ventures demonstrates strategic thinking, resilience, and efficient time management—traits that would undoubtedly elevate my own career if I adopted similar behaviors. By practicing such leadership and communication skills, I believe I could earn greater respect from colleagues, develop stronger team collaborations, and ultimately deliver higher-quality care.

In essence, my friend’s behaviors and values — integrity, empathy, excellent communication, strategic vision — serve as a guiding example in my professional development. Emulating his leadership could enhance my effectiveness as a nurse practitioner, contribute to a healthier organizational culture, and improve patient outcomes. Such qualities are invaluable in healthcare, where trust, teamwork, and continuous learning are paramount.
