Grader - Instructions Word 2019 Project Exp19_Word_Ch04
You are enrolled in a personal finance course at your local university. One of the assignments is to write a group paper with another student about the different types of retirement plans. You and your partner conducted research on the topic and wrote a final draft of the report. In this project, you will format the paper to enhance readability. You will use track changes, accepting and rejecting them as necessary, credit sources used in the preparation of the report, address your partner’s comments, include a table of contents and an index.
Paper For Above instruction
In this assignment, the focus is on formatting a research report about retirement plans to improve its readability and professionalism. The process involves reviewing tracked changes, applying appropriate styles, adding citations, footnotes, a table of contents, an index, and a bibliography. This comprehensive formatting task aims to simulate real-world document editing and publishing standards within a Microsoft Word environment.
The initial step requires opening the provided Word document, reviewing all comments, and managing tracked changes. All edits on the second page involving replacing the word "NOW" with lowercase should be rejected, while other tracked changes are accepted. All comments must be kept for ongoing review. The headings in the report should be properly styled according to the comments, and a reply should be made to the first comment acknowledging the style change.
A caption labeled "Table 1 : The Future Value of Money" must be inserted above the relevant table, centered, with the caption style set to "Table 1" and in APA sixth edition style. Similarly, a caption "Table 2 : Comparisons between a Traditional and a Roth IRA" should be added to the next table, also centered, with appropriate formatting. The caption styles should match APA guidelines.
Within the document, insert specific web citations at the end of pertinent sentences about 403(b) and 401(k) plans, ensuring accurate placement of references according to the provided details. Additionally, a footnote must be added to the table header in the Introduction section, noting that "The calculation did not take into consideration the cost of living adjustment (COLA)", with the footnote numbered "a". Footnote formatting should be adjusted accordingly.
A new, blank page should be inserted at the end of the document to host the References section. This bibliography must be centered, titled "References", formatted in Times New Roman, 12pt, double-spaced, with no extra paragraph spacing, and all text in black. The references must list at least five credible sources related to retirement plans, formatted in APA style.
In addition, a Table of Contents should be created on a new page using the automatic style "Table of Contents 1" (or Classic style for Mac users), inserted between the cover page and page two, and updated after any page numbering adjustments. Mark selected words ("contribution", "Roth IRA", "traditional IRA", "403(b)", "and 401(k)") as index entries, choosing "Mark All" for each, and for the first occurrence of "deduction", set a cross-reference "See contribution". Ensure all occurrences are marked, using the Navigation Pane to verify.
An index should be added on a blank page at the end of the document, formatted in Classic style, with default settings accepted. The footer should contain a centered page number in "Plain Number 2" format, excluding the first page, and starting the numbering at 1 on the Table of Contents page.
Finally, insert a page break before the second table to keep it on one page, update the Table of Contents accordingly, save, and close the document. The completed, formatted report must then be submitted as directed.
