For example, as a white male, I would not be able to do much with the availability of low-interest loans and grants available to minority women, which to them would be an opportunity. As a tenured faculty member, my position with the university would likely be less threatened by swings in enrollment patterns than it would be if I were a part-time adjunct instructor.
