How To Set A Vcr Clockwhen Current Clock Setting Blinks 1200introduct

Today, what people once thought was advanced technology, is becoming obsolete. It is difficult to find parts and even information for those certain “old” technological instruments. VCRs are considered nearly obsolete due to the invention of DVD and Blu-Ray players, yet several Americans still use VCRs. When people encounter simple difficulties with their VCR, it may be difficult to find information about correcting the problem. This guide will help you reset your VCR clock when it is blinking “12:00.” Follow the basic directions if your VCR manual is not available.

Before you begin, be sure that the VCR is connected to the TV.

For steps 1 and 2, see Figure 1 below.

  1. Locate AV Cables (Red, Yellow, White).
  2. Connect AV Cables to the back of the TV by inserting plugs into corresponding color outlets (see Figure 1).

Resetting the VCR Clock

  1. Turn on the TV.
  2. Turn on the VCR.
  3. Locate the VCR remote and press the “MENU” button.
  4. Scan the VCR menu for options such as “Clock Settings,” “Time/Date Settings,” or “Time Settings,” and press the “Select/OK” button on the remote.
  5. When the menu appears, find and select the “Set Clock” or “Set the Time” option by pressing “Select/OK.”
  6. Depending on your VCR model, you can set the time either by typing the numerical values directly or by using the “up/down” arrows provided in the menu or remote control.
