Paper For Above instruction

Dear Widder Douglas,

I’s real sorry I hain’t writ to ya sooner, but I’ve been mighty busy. I wants to tell you about what I done to help them men on the wreck of the water scott. When I found out they was in trouble, I didn’t think twice, I just did what I could by lookin’ for help and paddlin’ my small boat as quick as I could. I was hopin’ someone would come along and rescue ‘em, but ’til then, I tried my best to keep ‘em safe and quiet, givin’ ‘em what little comfort I could. I reckon it was high time I did somethin’, cause it’s always best to help folks in need if you can.

I s’pose I got my own ways of thinkin’, but I do believe that doin’ what’s right’s more important than what folks might say. No matter if I’s afraid or if it’s dangerous, I try to follow my conscience and do right by folks. I ain’t no saint but I feel mighty proud of what I done, ‘cause I know I did the right thing even if it wasn’t the easy thing. I wishes you could see how things turned out, and maybe someday you’ll understand that I did what I thought was best at the time.
