An especially memorable part of this module was the field trip to Vis, which turned out to be an exciting exploration into technological innovations often associated with science fiction. The environment was filled with immersive experiences such as virtual reality with Oculus headsets, immersive theatre, car racing simulations, and V-ray rendering, all of which sparked my imagination. These experiences inspired numerous ideas related to future technological applications in interior design, emphasizing the importance of integrating advanced tech tools like 3D modeling to enhance creativity and problem-solving in my field.

This module was unique from other courses because it emphasized practical and creative use of digital tools, which also benefitted my learning in other modules. Initially, I found it challenging to organize and manage the Google Plus platform for posting and sharing content, but eventually, I adapted and gained confidence in managing digital discussions and collaborations.

The individual tutorials provided valuable guidance in selecting the research topic and framing the presentation approach. I chose the topic “INTERACTIVE PEDESTRIAN CROSSING,” which aims to enhance pedestrian safety through innovative traffic control measures such as curb extensions and raised crosswalks. The research involved evaluating different pedestrian facilities and traffic devices that respond dynamically in real-time, thus improving safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers alike. This deepened my understanding of urban safety infrastructure and the importance of user-centric design in transportation planning.

For my presentation tool, I selected PREZI, a dynamic zooming presentation platform that offers a distinctive alternative to traditional PowerPoint slides. PREZI's engaging visual transitions and spatial storytelling enabled me to present my ideas more interactively and creatively. This experience has also sparked my interest in further exploring multimedia presentation tools, given how effectively they can communicate complex concepts and retain audience interest. Overall, I found this module to be both fun and educational, as it introduced me to new skills and perspectives that I can apply in my future academic and professional pursuits.
