The Information Literacy Assignment Must include at least two paragraphs (of at least five sentences each) that respond to the two prompts, and that are formatted according to APA style as outlined in the Ashford Writing Center.

Must include a separate title page with the following: Title of paper, Student’s name, Course name and number, Instructor’s name, Date submitted. The paper should have no more than 15% quoted material based on the Turnitin report. A reference page must be used when citing specific sections and/or tutorials of the Ashford Writing Center.

Fortunately, the library’s tutorials provided guided instruction on how to formulate effective search strategies and utilize Boolean operators, which have notably improved my ability to find useful sources quickly and accurately. As I became more familiar with these tools, my confidence in conducting academic research grew, and I learned to critically evaluate sources for credibility and relevance, ensuring my research was well-supported and reliable.

The tutorials available through the Ashford Writing Center have played a pivotal role in improving my research skills. Specific lessons on source evaluation helped me develop a more discerning eye for assessing the credibility of articles, websites, and academic journals, safeguarding my work from unreliable sources. Additionally, guidance on proper APA citation and paraphrasing not only improved the quality of my writing but also ensured I met academic integrity standards, avoiding unintentional plagiarism. The library’sstep-by-step instructional videos and written guides have been invaluable, providing clear and concise explanations that accommodate different learning styles. Through these resources, I have become more proficient in navigating the library’s extensive database system, which translates to more efficient and effective research processes. Overall, the Ashford University Library's resources and tutorials have significantly strengthened my research skills and confidence, making academic research a more manageable and rewarding experience.
