Research indicates that excessive screen time can negatively impact children's physical health, including disrupted sleep patterns and decreased physical activity (Hale & Guan, 2015). The blue light emitted from screens affects melatonin production, disrupting sleep cycles vital for healthy development (Harvard Health Publishing, 2019). Young children's developing brains are particularly vulnerable to the overstimulation caused by frequent screen exposure (Christakis et al., 2019). Therefore, early ownership may expose children to avoidable health risks.
