This misinterpretation can reduce trust, decrease morale, and impair effective collaboration among staff members. Additionally, cultural differences can intensify misunderstandings, further complicating communication in diverse public sector environments. Therefore, while nonverbal cues are powerful tools for conveying intent, over-reliance or inconsistent nonverbal behavior can distort the intended message, leading to decreased efficiency and productivity in the workplace.
