A comprehensive, double-spaced paper of no more than 16 pages (excluding title and references) is required, formatted in Word or RTF. The initial step involves selecting the assigned company for all related projects, ensuring consistency throughout the course. Any deviation results in zero credit. Students must utilize credible, relevant sources such as the company's annual reports, 10-K filings, and industry-specific databases like Mergent Online or MarketLine, with at least five scholarly sources, avoiding unreliable or superficial online content.
The report must follow a structured format: a title page with the report title, student’s name, course number, and instructor’s name; the body organized into sections on corporate, business, and functional strategies, and financial analysis; and a references page. Tables and matrices should be clear, properly labeled, and integrated within the analysis sections, with detailed explanations of their development. No appendices are allowed.
In analyzing corporate-level strategy, students will create a partial SWOT table, perform a Strengths-Weaknesses (SW) analysis, and interpret strategic implications.
