Journey to the Alternate Universe Chronic Illness It is when the whole family seems to be dying that life becomes scary and many things do not seem to make sense. This was the exact situation of Tom who had a sickly sister, sick of a chronic illness. His grandfather and father had passed on due to the same heart condition that his sister suffered from. Tom was burdened with the responsibility of taking care of his sister, Marylyn. He spent sleepless looking for a way to bring a solution.

He met his friend Mike who suggested the idea of going back into time and getting a plant that was used as medicine a thousand years ago which later became extinct. Time Travel Machine Creating a time travel machine took time, scientific knowledge, and efforts and it was ready. Tom was not sure whether he’s going would be successful and how long that would take, his coming was also not a guaranteed. He chose to go anyway, for that was the level of determination he had to see his sister back on her feet. The Alternate Universe The journey was full of fear and uncertainties and cut short when the travel machine malfunctioned.

He found himself in an alternate universe that had so many fireflies. He was tired, and did not know where to start from; he desired to look for places that people live in even if it was a village. He could not see any area nearby with electricity and that concerned him for he did not know what to do. The Villain In his walks, he met a girl who took it up to protect him for there was a villain who was seeking to kill Tom. She explained that fireflies were used to give light during the night.

She continued to give information about how everyone on earth has a person exactly like him or her and most of him or her were a villain. Tom felt threatened and remembering his sisters’ condition, he felt weak. He was still figuring out how to get out of the alternate universe when he encountered the villain. He could not imagine dying in a strange land; he managed to hide from the villain. He barely knew anyone there apart from the girl that saved her, and he had to remain in hiding to ensure his safety.

Time Bound It was already 105 hours and time was quickly running out. He had to plan how to move from hiding and out of the universe. His guardian Angel was right on time and she led her out. The time spent was enough to see how this girl had treated him. Tom had been a quiet guy and the condition of her family did not allow him to interact with the girls in his circle.

He had few friends more so friends who were girls. Falling in Love Tom had fallen in love with this girl and part of his worry became taking the girl together with him to earth. Just as he had discovered an alternate portal of exit back to earth, he was informed that the medicine could be found in the same universe. He was working on borrowed time and he did not want to take chances. He organized with the girl to take her to get the medicine them they would leave together.

The journey was long but they made it, he got the medicine and was glad. It was only seconds and the portal was about to lock when he dashed out. He was glad for getting the medicine but missed the girl of his dreams.
