One key competency I learned is the ability to utilize electronic health records (EHRs) to improve clinical decision-making. This involves accurately documenting patient information, retrieving data for evidence-based practice, and ensuring data privacy and security. Mastery of EHR systems allows APNs to coordinate care seamlessly across disciplines, monitor patient outcomes, and reduce medical errors.
