This course project is designed to give you real life practical experience while examining some of the key elements of organizational behavior as they apply to a specific organization. Additionally, the project offers you the opportunity to develop and create your own recommendations for the organization. Each week, you will complete a weekly project (parts A - E) and, in week 7, you will synthesize all of this into a final project that will be your recommendations. For the weekly projects, you will be conducting research and presenting findings related to the organization that you selected. For the final project, you will develop a formal recommendations paper based on your research.

The project is divided into weekly parts and culminates in a final recommendations paper. The initial step requires selecting an organization—preferably mid-sized with manageable scope—and obtaining approval from faculty. The research should be grounded in scholarly sources, utilizing academic databases, credible websites, and interviews with organizational leaders when possible. The final paper must integrate theories and concepts from courses, supported by at least 10 scholarly references, and follow APA formatting standards.

In Parts A through E, you will analyze current practices within the organization, such as reward systems, decision processes, conflict strategies, leadership style, and organizational culture, without offering solutions. The final project demands a synthesis of all research findings, providing well-justified recommendations for improvements in these areas, including potential pros and cons.

The project emphasizes scholarly rigor, critical thinking, and application of organizational behavior theories, requiring a minimum of four scholarly sources per weekly section and ten for the final recommendations. The body of each weekly report should be about 4-6 pages, with the final recommendations expanded to at least 10 pages.
