- Identify the leadership behavior statement that your observers felt you engaged in least often.

In the journey of personal leadership development, one must undergo a systematic approach that includes self-reflection and actionable plans. For this assignment, I will focus on the leadership behavior of 'Model the Way,' as suggested by the Student Leadership Practices Inventory (SLPI) feedback. Upon reviewing my individual feedback report, I have identified my overall score for 'Model the Way' to be 62. This score indicates a moderate level of engagement in the positive leadership behaviors associated with modeling the way for others. The observer feedback highlighted that I most frequently exhibit the behavior of 'sharing my values and principles with others.' This aligns closely with my belief in transparency, and my commitment to leading by example. However, the behavior identified as least practiced among my peers is 'showing others how to succeed,' which suggests I need to focus more on guiding my team members towards achieving their goals.
In order to address this gap, I plan to implement an action that fosters more direct engagement with my team members. Specifically, I will initiate weekly one-on-one meetings with each team member to discuss their current projects, provide guidance, and offer feedback aimed at fostering their success. These meetings will not only serve as a platform to demonstrate my leadership style but also help in building a culture of collaboration and support within my team. Furthermore, to enhance my credibility throughout this semester, I will integrate my personal values into my daily actions.
