Throughout my course, I have gained a deeper understanding of both the barriers that hinder nurses from engaging in EBP and effective strategies to overcome these obstacles. One significant barrier I perceive is the limited time clinicians often have amidst their demanding schedules, which detracts from their ability to review current literature and incorporate new evidence into practice. Additionally, a lack of institutional support or access to resources can restrict nurses' capacity to implement EBP effectively. To mitigate this, I would advocate for the development of dedicated EBP time within nursing shifts and improved access to electronic health resources, fostering an environment where evidence-based decision-making becomes a routine part of patient care. This strategic approach can bridge the gap between research and practice, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes.

Reflecting on my learning journey, my perception of nursing research has evolved significantly. In the future, I am considering obtaining certifications such as Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) and Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to enhance my clinical expertise and marketability.

Considering further education is also an integral part of my professional development plans.
