Paper For Above instruction
The assignment entails conducting an interview with a professional within the sport industry, summarizing this interview, and reflecting on one's resume and career development. The process begins with gathering detailed contact information of the interviewee, including their name, position, organization, email, phone number, and whether they are willing to be contacted again. The student then reflects on their choice of interviewee, explaining the reasons for selecting this individual and their own career aspirations within the sport industry.
During the interview summary, students answer key questions about their interviewee’s career aspirations, surprises encountered during the interview, new insights gained, unique responsibilities of their interviewee, and current organizational issues faced. This comprehensive reflection helps students understand industry realities and develop a clearer picture of their career path.
In addition to the interview, students undertake a resume review. They are instructed to review their current resume critically, potentially with input from a UF Career Resource Center counselor, and reflect on their strengths and areas for improvement. Specific questions prompt students to consider how they can enhance their skills, knowledge, and experiences to increase their employability in their chosen sport industry segment.
This assignment favors reflection, self-assessment, and strategic planning, encouraging students to connect academic pursuits with real-world industry requirements. It aims to foster professional growth by identifying actionable steps toward career readiness in the sports sector.
