Part 1: Region Selection and Initial Impressions
Students must choose a region from the options: Europa | España; El Caribe | Puerto Rico, República Dominicana y Cuba; Centro América | México, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua y Costa Rica; Gran Colombia | Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela y Ecuador; Zona Andina | Perú, Bolivia y Paraguay; Cono Sur | Uruguay, Argentina y Chile.
After selecting, students should write a brief paragraph explaining their choice and their initial impressions or interests related to that region. This paragraph should reflect their critical thinking about why the region interests them and the significance of their choice.

Part 2: Comparing Study Abroad Programs
Students must research two study abroad programs offered by the University of Memphis within the selected region. Using information from the official UofM Study Abroad website, students will create a comparison chart or table that lists key details for each program side by side. Categories should include program name, institution, tuition, duration, accommodation, travel expenses, transportation, and food.
After compiling the comparison, students will select one of the two programs and write a short paragraph explaining why that program is the better option, based on their comparison.
