This paper outlines three significant insights, assesses their importance, and delineates actionable plans to incorporate these insights into my academic and career pursuits.
Insight 1: The Power of Active Listening
One of the most profound insights I acquired is the importance of active listening. Active listening involves fully concentrating, understanding, responding, and then remembering what is being said. According to Keyton (2017), active listening fosters trust, reduces misunderstandings, and builds stronger relationships within organizations. In the context of organizational communication, it promotes clarity and ensures that all parties feel heard and valued.
