Global health challenges necessitate a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of health practitioners across disciplines. As a nursing professional engaged in this course, my initial beliefs about my role in global health were primarily centered on direct patient care and localized health promotion, with limited consideration for broader systemic implications. My pre-course perspective was that my contribution was primarily clinical, with limited engagement in international health frameworks or policy development. This initial belief was shaped by my professional training and experiences, which emphasized immediate, individual patient outcomes rather than large-scale health initiatives.

Throughout this course, I encountered scholarly evidence and concepts that significantly reshaped my understanding of global health and my role within it.
