Overviewthis Assignment Will Give You The Opportunity To Choose A Case
This assignment will give you the opportunity to choose a case study, analyze the ethical implications and impacts of the events described, and answer a set of questions associated with your selected case. You may choose either Case Study 9.1: Unprofessional Conduct or Case Study 8.4: Have Gun Will Travel. Your responses should incorporate concepts learned in the course, with clear rationales for each answer.
Your paper should be between four to six pages, typed, double-spaced, using Times New Roman font size 12, with one-inch margins. Include a cover page with the assignment title, your name, the instructor’s name, the course title, and the date. The cover page does not count toward the page length. Cite your textbook as a reference and include a separate APA-formatted reference page, which is not included in the page count.
Paper For Above instruction
The selected case study should be thoroughly analyzed with regard to its ethical implications and consequences. If choosing Case Study 9.1: Unprofessional Conduct, discuss whether the Board of Education violated the individual's right to privacy, if the firing was justified, and evaluate whether Pettit's behavior was unprofessional or immoral. Consider whether teachers who perform well inside the classroom should be held to higher moral standards outside the classroom, and identify five behaviors that could signify unprofessional or immoral conduct for teachers.
If selecting Case Study 8.4: Have Gun Will Travel, analyze the rights—both legal and moral—related to owning and carrying guns in the workplace and parking lots. Discuss property rights, safety concerns, and whether companies should allow guns on their premises, including potential circumstances where such allowances might be reasonable or should be prohibited to ensure employee safety. Examine the role of legislative involvement versus employer discretion in these matters.
Use ethical theories such as utilitarianism, Kantian ethics, and virtue ethics to guide your analysis, considering the moral, economic, and legal considerations involved. Your discussion should incorporate research and resources, including your course textbook, and follow proper APA formatting for citations and references.
