My background as an event coordinator has provided me with a unique set of skills that combine organizational expertise, multitasking, and interpersonal communication. Over the years, I have managed a wide range of events, from corporate conferences to large community festivals, which has honed my ability to adapt quickly, solve problems efficiently, and coordinate teams effectively. This experience has fostered a deep understanding of how organizational structures operate in practice, particularly in high-pressure environments where flexibility and strategic planning are crucial (Smith, 2020). Moreover, working closely with diverse stakeholders has enhanced my diplomatic skills and my capacity to navigate complex dynamics within organizations, making me a well-rounded professional in the events management sector (Johnson & Lee, 2019). This background motivates me to leverage this course to deepen my theoretical understanding of organizational behavior and to develop leadership skills that can be applied to improve event planning processes and organizational efficiency.

I anticipate that one of the significant challenges organizations face when restructuring is the resistance to change among employees, which can hamper the implementation of new organizational models (Brown, 2021). Resistance may stem from fear of the unknown, perceived threats to job security, or a lack of trust in leadership (Kumar & Singh, 2018). To address these challenges, I believe transparent communication and participative change management are critical strategies. Engaging staff early in the restructuring process, clearly communicating the benefits, and providing necessary training can ease fears and foster a sense of ownership among employees (Cameron & Green, 2019). As someone with experience coordinating complex projects, I understand the importance of aligning organizational change with clear goals and providing support throughout the transition. This approach can facilitate smoother restructuring processes, ultimately leading to more resilient and adaptable organizations (O'Neill & McLarnon, 2022). I look forward to applying these insights to help organizations navigate change effectively and to enhance my ability to lead transformational initiatives in my future career.
