Organizations utilizing IaaS, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, retain control over operating systems and applications, while cloud providers manage hardware maintenance. IaaS offers maximum flexibility and is suitable for organizations with dynamic workloads requiring customizable infrastructure solutions, such as hosting complex applications or developing scalable environments.
The major providers exemplify these models through their extensive portfolios: AWS and Azure for IaaS, Salesforce and Google for SaaS, and Google App Engine or Heroku for PaaS. Adoption of these services allows organizations to optimize costs, improve scalability, and accelerate innovation.
