Choose a well-known leader who is considered an exemplar of good leadership or among the most admired in the country. Conduct research to find out how the leader's company inspires the workers and managers to emulate the positive attributes reported in the leader's profile. Satya Nadella was born in Hyderabad, India, in 1967. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Nadella joined Microsoft in 1992 and has held various leadership roles before becoming the company's CEO in 2014. Under his leadership, Microsoft has experienced significant transformation, emphasizing cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and a growth mindset culture that encourages innovation and inclusivity.

Microsoft, under Nadella’s leadership, inspires its employees through a shared vision of empowering every individual and organization on the planet to achieve more. Based on what I have learned from Nadella’s leadership, I would model positive, ethical leadership by prioritizing honesty, empathy, and fairness in decision-making processes. Creating an environment where employees feel valued and heard encourages positive behavior and aligns individual goals with organizational values.

Modeling positive, ethical leadership behavior allows leaders to set organizational standards rooted in integrity and respect. When leaders exemplify these qualities, they influence others to adopt similar behaviors, establishing a culture that emphasizes ethical conduct and social responsibility. This, in turn, attracts talent, builds trust with stakeholders, and sustains organizational success.

The three most important qualities a leader must possess to model positive, ethical leadership are integrity, empathy, and humility.
