In my DBA doctoral research, the core business problem revolves around understanding how leadership styles influence organizational change within large healthcare institutions. The challenge lies in identifying specific leadership behaviors that effectively promote adaptation to rapid industry transformations such as technological advancements, regulatory reforms, and shifting patient expectations. Addressing this problem requires a nuanced understanding of leadership dynamics and their impact on organizational culture and change management processes.
Given the qualitative nature of this study, I have chosen thematic analysis as the primary data analysis technique. Thematic analysis is well-suited for exploring complex, context-dependent phenomena such as leadership behaviors and organizational culture because it enables the researcher to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns of meaning across qualitative data (Braun & Clarke, 2006).
