Purpose To Assist Students In Identifying Areas To Improve
Purposeto Assist Students In Identifying Areas To Improve On In Order
Purposes: To assist students in identifying areas to improve on in order to be academically successful, formulating strategies to implement and meet goals, and determining the effectiveness of the strategies (outcomes). Student Learning Outcomes Describe her/himself as a learner. Demonstrate improvement of study skills through a variety of exercises.
Instructions: Write a 4-8 page paper on the goals to improve, the outcomes, and the effectiveness of the strategies that you implemented this semester (use the chart below to guide you. Address each area). Use the literature to provide the evidence to support your strategies. Create two (2) strategies for each provided “Goals to Improve” that you plan to implement this semester. Evaluate the effectiveness (Outcomes) of each strategy you implement in meeting the goal of improving academically. Include a minimum of three (3) current (≤ 5 years), peer-reviewed, nursing journal articles. Your paper should be 4-8 pages, excluding title and reference pages. No abstract is needed. Current APA formatting is required. Upload each article in pdf form that is used in your paper to the Dropbox. Please refer to the OWL at Purdue APA for questions. Do not include any block quotes (direct quotes ≥ 40 words) or direct quotes in your paper. Instead, paraphrase the information in your own words and cite appropriately. Include a conclusion. Use headers in your paper. No more than 25% Turnitin score. Submit your paper to the appropriate Dropbox, in a Word docx, by the specified date/time.
If the document is uploaded in a format that will not open, meaning the faculty cannot grade it as it was uploaded, then the student will receive a grade of zero (0). It is the student’s responsibility to verify that their paper is in the correct format. Only assignments that are uploaded to the correct location will be graded. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they upload the correct assignment to the correct location and by the posted due date/time. It is also the student’s responsibility to ensure that they upload the correct version of their assignment.
Paper For Above instruction
In this paper, I will explore my personal goals for academic improvement, the strategies I devised to meet these goals, and the outcomes assessing their effectiveness. My primary aim was to enhance my time management skills to better handle the demanding nursing coursework. As a student, I recognize that effective time management is crucial for academic success and professional preparedness in nursing. To achieve this, I implemented two strategies: first, establishing a structured weekly schedule integrating study blocks and breaks; second, utilizing digital planners with reminders for assignments and exams. These strategies were rooted in literature emphasizing the importance of structured planning to improve academic performance (Zimmerman & Schunk, 2014).
The first strategy, creating a detailed weekly schedule, helped me prioritize tasks and allocate sufficient time to coursework, reducing last-minute cramming. The second, using digital reminders, ensured I stayed on track with deadlines and preparations. The effectiveness of these strategies was evident as I experienced increased productivity and reduced stress levels. Through self-assessment and tracking my completion rates, I found that my assignment punctuality improved by 30%, and I felt more confident in managing my workload. Additionally, feedback from peers and instructors indicated improved engagement and comprehension.
Another goal I set was to enhance my critical thinking skills specific to clinical decision-making. I employed two strategies—participating in study groups focused on case studies and applying reflective journaling after clinical experiences. Literature underscores that active discussion and reflection foster critical thinking (Benner et al., 2010). Participation in study groups provided diverse perspectives and immediate feedback, sharpening my analytical skills. Reflective journaling allowed me to critically analyze my actions and thought processes during clinical practice, fostering deeper understanding. The outcomes revealed my improved ability to analyze patient scenarios, evidenced by higher scores in case study evaluations and increased confidence in decision-making.
In conclusion, the implementation of these strategies led to measurable improvements in my academic and clinical competencies. Continuous evaluation and adaptation remain essential for ongoing development. Future plans include integrating additional digital tools and peer feedback to further enhance my learning outcomes.
