The field of computer science continues to evolve rapidly, presenting new challenges and opportunities for students entering the profession. With a strong academic foundation from the University of Dayton and Visvesvaraya Technological University, I am prepared to face these challenges. My educational background includes a Master’s in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science & Engineering. During my studies, I have undertaken various courses, including Database Management Systems, Operation Research, Java & J2EE, and Object Oriented Programming, which have equipped me with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this field.
Throughout my academic journey, I have gained expertise in several programming languages, including C, C++, HTML, and CSS. My proficiency in these languages has been enhanced through both coursework and practical experience during my internship at Konigtronics Private Limited, where I worked as a Database Administrator. My primary responsibilities included analyzing and monitoring data and computing final outcomes, which solidified my understanding of database management.
In addition to technical skills, I have cultivated essential soft skills such as adaptability, teamwork, and leadership. My role as a Student Ambassador at the University of Dayton required effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. These experiences have taught me the importance of interpersonal skills in achieving success in both academic and professional environments.
My academic projects further demonstrate my technical proficiency and problem-solving capabilities. In a Web Development project for the Web 2.0 and Rich Internet Applications course, I utilized PHP, HTML, and CSS to create a website that facilitated data storage and retrieval for authorized users. This project not only honed my web development skills but also allowed me to work collaboratively with fellow students and professors.
Another notable project involved implementing the Stop & Wait Protocol using C during my Computer Graphics class. The project required a graphical representation of data transmission, showcasing my ability to apply theoretical concepts to practical applications. I employed Open GL software to deliver a successful project that received positive feedback from my professors.
Perhaps my most significant achievement was the Vital Signs Surveillance Based Decision Support System project, conducted during my Internet of Things class. This project utilized C++ and Arduino Development software, receiving recognition as the best project from the National Accreditation and Assessment Council of India (NAAC). This accolade underscored my ability to innovate within the IoT domain, a rapidly growing field with immense potential.
Beyond my technical experiences, I have embraced leadership roles through various workshops and events, such as co-hosting a workshop on Applied Computer Science with Android conducted by Google. Organizing events like DexteriX demonstrates my dedication to fostering learning and collaboration among peers.
Moreover, my publications in esteemed journals reflect my engagement with the academic community. Collaborating with peers on research papers such as “Back-End Web-Application Development and the Role of an Admin” and “Android Application to Read and Record Data from Multiple Sensors” indicates my commitment to contribution and knowledge sharing in the field.
Overall, my combination of technical skills, hands-on experience, leadership involvement, and academic contributions equips me to make a positive impact in the field of computer science. I aim to further develop my expertise and contribute to innovative solutions as part of a dedicated team.
