Throughout my practicum experience, I aim to develop both my technical skills and my professional competencies to become a more effective and compassionate practitioner. My primary goal is to refine my clinical skills, specifically in conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to individual client needs. To achieve this, I plan to immerse myself in diverse case situations, seeking mentorship and feedback from experienced clinicians to enhance my diagnostic accuracy and intervention strategies.
An essential skill I hope to develop during this practicum is cultural competence. As healthcare increasingly emphasizes personalized care, understanding the cultural backgrounds of clients becomes vital for effective communication and intervention.
