Reply for two other students with ONE additional idea for a media outlet T
Spencer Payne, The man I chose to be my dream client would be Charles "Charlie" White. Charlie is a YouTuber and Twitch streamer who goes by the name of Penguinz0 on his YouTube channel and Moist Critical (he spells it MoistCr1tikal) on his Twitch channel. He's been a YouTuber posting videos since 2007 when the system was still trying to figure out what it was. He currently has just over 5 million subscribers and 1.17 billion views on YouTube. He's a commentator and gamer and most of what he posts about are his thoughts and opinions about a certain topic or gameplay footage of a game he streamed on his Twitch channel. Since he's a commentator I would pitch him the idea of commentating in the world of competitive esports. He's done a bit of commentating for a competitive Smash Bros tournament that he and a couple of other YouTubers hosted during quarantine and he was really into it.
I would also try to get him to collaborate with some other YouTubers like Fitz, iDubbbz, and PewDiePie, since all three of these YouTubers have been on the platform almost as long as him and share a similar, dark sense of humor. And finally, I would recommend he join other YouTubers' podcasts, especially the H3 Podcast, given their influence on YouTube culture and their track record of setting trends. Since being a YouTuber is different from traditional TV fame, I would suggest media outlets such as Twitter, Instagram, and the H3 Podcast to reach his audience effectively.

In the rapidly evolving landscape of digital media, selecting the appropriate media outlets for promoting a client’s brand or vision is crucial. This essay explores strategic media outlet recommendations for two distinct dream clients—Spencer Payne’s client, Charles "Charlie" White, and Maddie Van Eyk’s client, Kylie Jenner—highlighting creative pitch angles tailored to their unique personas and audiences.
Promotion Strategies for Charlie White
Charlie White, widely known as MoistCr1tikal, exemplifies a quintessential figure in online gaming commentary and streaming. His extensive following on YouTube and Twitch signifies a robust platform for expanding his influence into esports commentary. To capitalize on his existing popularity, I recommend pitching him to online gaming and entertainment media outlets that cater to his demographic. Esports media outlets like Dexerto and ESL Gaming would be optimal choices, given their focus on competitive gaming news and live event coverage.
These outlets could feature articles or segments emphasizing Charlie’s potential role as a prominent esports commentator, tapping into the growing esports industry. A compelling pitch angle would be "Bringing Humor and Insight to Esports Commentary: The Rise of MoistCr1tikal in Competitive Gaming," emphasizing his unique humorous commentary style and credibility within gaming culture. Furthermore, mainstream entertainment outlets such as Complex and The Verge could help broaden his reach, positioning him as an influential media personality bridging gaming and pop culture.
Leveraging Podcasts and Social Media
Given the influence of podcasts in gaming and entertainment circles, I recommend that Charlie engage with prominent shows like the H3 Podcast, which boasts a massive following and features discussions relevant to internet culture. Collaborating with H3 or similar podcasts can humanize him further and introduce his brand to a broader audience. Regarding social media, platforms like Twitter and Instagram are pivotal for direct engagement and promotion. Twitter, in particular, serves as a hub for real-time interactions and trending topics, making it an ideal channel for announcing events, collaborations, and esports commentary ventures.
Promotion Strategies for Kylie Jenner
Kylie Jenner’s brand, Kylie Cosmetics, has skyrocketed since its inception, yet maintaining relevance amidst fierce competition demands innovative marketing approaches. To maximize brand visibility, I recommend targeting fashion, lifestyle, and youth-centric publications and multimedia channels. For print and online outlets, fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar are essential for maintaining high-profile visibility. A recommended pitch angle for Vogue could focus on "The Evolution of Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit Empire: From Lipstick to Lifestyle," emphasizing her entrepreneurial journey and innovative product development.
On digital platforms, collaborations with popular influencers like James Charles can foster engagement among younger audiences. I suggest a YouTube collaboration titled "Kylie Jenner Does My Makeup," which leverages YouTube’s visual and viral capacity to promote her products directly. Additionally, Snapchat stories shared through Cosmopolitan Online can deliver quick, engaging content such as “Top 5 Kylie Lipstick Shades for Every Occasion,” encouraging social sharing and increasing reach among Snapchat’s predominantly young user base.
Creative Media Outreach
To further enhance her brand’s penetration, Kylie Jenner could collaborate with mainstream entertainment platforms such as TikTok, utilizing trending challenges and branded hashtags to promote her new product lines dynamically. This approach aligns with current social media trends and leverages the platform’s virality to reach Gen Z consumers effectively.
Conclusion
In conclusion, selecting the appropriate media outlets and crafting tailored pitch angles are essential for maximizing the promotional impact for both Charlie White and Kylie Jenner. Media strategies should leverage their unique brand identities and audience preferences, utilizing a blend of niche esports outlets, popular podcasts, fashion publications, and dynamic social media campaigns. An integrated approach ensures that each client’s message reaches its target demographic, fostering growth and sustained relevance in the highly competitive digital landscape.
