Research Paperthis Is A Graduate Course And Students Will Be Expected

This is a graduate course and students will be expected to research and write papers summarizing in their own words what they have found on current topics from the weekly readings. Research is a theoretical review of relevant literature and application of findings in the literature to a topic related to a specific industry, field, or business problem.

The research must be conducted using peer-reviewed trade or academic journals. While blogs, Wikipedia, encyclopedias, course textbooks, popular magazines, newspaper articles, online websites, etc., are helpful for providing background information, these resources are NOT suitable for this research assignment. Please note: The UC Library staff are available to assist students with using the UC Online Library journal database.

Paper For Above instruction

In this research paper, students are tasked with exploring a current topic relevant to managerial finance, drawn from weekly readings or provided lists. The primary aim is to conduct a comprehensive review of peer-reviewed journal articles—preferably published within the last five years—that offer insights into the chosen topic. The purpose is to synthesize these findings within a scholarly and professional context, demonstrating critical engagement and applying the knowledge to enhance current business practices.

The structure of the paper requires several distinct sections: a cover page, an overview of the significance of the research topic to current business and professional practice, a statement of the purpose of the research highlighting its benefits and contributions, a detailed review of the literature summarizing key points from selected articles without excessive direct quotations, a discussion of how findings can influence and improve existing practices, and finally, a conclusion reflecting on the overall insights gained. Proper APA formatting is mandatory throughout the paper, including citations and references.

The literature review component should be the most extensive, summarizing major themes and findings from at least four peer-reviewed articles relevant to the topic. Students should emphasize their own synthesis and critical analysis, avoiding verbatim copying or overuse of quotes. The practical application section should clearly articulate how the research findings can inform and elevate business strategies or managerial approaches.

Academic writing quality is emphasized, requiring clear, concise, well-structured, and grammatically sound language in third-person voice. The paper length should be four to five pages, double-spaced, excluding the cover page, abstract, and references. Adherence to APA style for formatting citations, in-text references, and the references list is essential. After submission, students must engage in substantive responses to at least four peers’ posts, fostering meaningful discussion on their research topics.
