Recognizing the importance of digital transformation in commerce, this study seeks to shed light on emerging trends, factors affecting consumer loyalty, and barriers to online shopping adoption. My interest in this topic stems from witnessing the exponential rise of e-commerce, further accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has significantly altered traditional shopping paradigms and consumer attitudes towards online retail.
The literature review will synthesize insights from at least 15 scholarly and credible sources, including journal articles, industry reports, and digital databases focusing on consumer behavior, digital marketing, e-commerce platforms, and technology adoption theories. The review will be organized into thematic subsections, each identifying key concepts such as technology acceptance models, trust-building mechanisms, the influence of social media, demographics, and cultural factors, as well as perceived risks and benefits of online shopping.
