The purpose of this paper is to prepare a comprehensive 5-10-minute presentation that clearly highlights a specific research project I have conducted, aligning with the expectations of the School of Professional Studies for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor and Associate Academic Director of Business Programs. The chosen research project should demonstrate scholarly rigor, relevancy to business education, and contribute to academic discourse in the field of business studies.

My selected research project involves an in-depth analysis of the impact of digital transformation on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As digital technology continues to evolve rapidly, SMEs face both opportunities and challenges in integrating these innovations into their operational strategies. The project aimed to explore how digital transformation influences business growth, operational efficiency, customer engagement, and competitive advantage among SMEs.

The methodology employed for this research involved a mixed-methods approach. Quantitative data was collected through surveys distributed to a sample of 200 small and medium-sized enterprise owners across various industries, focusing on their experiences with digital adoption. Qualitative insights were gathered through in-depth interviews with 20 business owners, providing contextual understanding of the strategic decision-making processes concerning digital transformation. In my presentation, I will showcase the research methodology, key findings, implications for business practice, and potential avenues for future research. I will illustrate how this project aligns with advancing scholarly understanding of contemporary issues in business and how it relates to my broader academic interests in strategic management, innovation, and organizational change.
