Select A Topic That Can Be Analyzed From An Intergovernmental Relation

Select a topic that can be analyzed from an intergovernmental relations perspective. This topic will be the same throughout your project. Choose a public policy issue that exhibits characteristics of intergovernmental relations, such as minimum wage policy, immigration policy, environmental protection, human rights, marriage rulings, gun policy, economic crisis response, disaster response, or marijuana legalization. If you choose a topic not listed, please seek approval before proceeding. Your chosen topic should be relevant to inter-governmental relations discussed during lectures, readings, or explored through local news, policy briefs, or recent developments.

In this first step, introduce the topic (or case), provide background information, and summarize existing challenges or debates associated with the policy issue. Your submission should be approximately 500 words. Ensure your paper contains original content and that no more than 25% of it is cited material. Use APA format for citations and references. Remember to submit your paper through Blackboard; submissions via email are not accepted.
