According to Oracle, the solution is more hands-on training for these new skills. This training would consist of seminars and certification courses and emphasizes training on AI, machine learning, and cloud computing. All of these are hot topics in IT workforce and are great skills to have.

The article also goes on to explain that it is important to train employees beyond digital skills, mentorship, guidance, leadership skills, and continuous learning are all desired traits that will help employees at work and in all areas of their lives. I really liked the article, and I could not agree more that there is a huge digital skills gap in the workforce. I see it every day at work, and a lot of that is on the company for not offering sufficient training or any incentives to help employees grow. I think that industry professionals could benefit from this article because it would help them realize the benefit of having employees that are trained with the skill sets that are needed in today's world, which in turn would help their company and the employee be successful and grow.
