Paper For Above instruction
The assignment requires creating a PowerPoint presentation to address workforce diversity challenges and propose solutions, along with developing an academic paper on the topic of persuasive speaking, including outline creation, delivery, and self-review. The objectives include understanding employee relations, ethical behavior, and communication strategies in human resource management, supported by credible research.
Specifically, students must prepare a 5-7 slide PowerPoint presentation for a staff meeting addressing friction in an age-diverse workforce, proposing a solution that relieves tensions caused by differing backgrounds and attitudes towards work. The presentation should include a title slide with relevant information, clear slide headings, at least one graphic, and be visually appealing and legible from up to 18 feet away. Additional formatting guidance should be checked with the instructor.
Simultaneously, students are tasked with writing an academic paper analyzing effective approaches to persuasive speech. They must select a topic—either a question of value ("Should Children Under the Age of 10 Own Cell Phones?") or a question of policy ("Should Self-Driving Cars Be Legal?")—and develop an outline that includes a clear specific purpose, central idea, and well-organized main points supporting credibility through at least two scholarly sources. The outline should be concise enough to fit within a 4-minute speech, with proper spelling and grammar.
Following the outline, students will record and upload a 3-4 minute persuasive speech based on their outline, ensuring to avoid reading verbatim from notes and following technical instructions provided. They will then complete a self-review reflecting on their performance, identifying strengths, areas for improvement, and overall learning.
Assessment criteria for the outline emphasize completeness, logical flow, proper source incorporation, and grammatical accuracy. The speech delivery will be evaluated on engagement, credibility, organization, adherence to time limits, eye contact, vocal expressiveness, clarity, visual quality, and overall effectiveness. The self-review is expected to provide insightful feedback on personal progress.
