The first service, immunization programs, falls under the core public health function of disease prevention. This service ensures that the community has access to vaccines to prevent the spread of infectious diseases such as influenza, COVID-19, and measles. The activity directly aligns with the control and prevention of communicable diseases, a key component of public health's essential services.
